The cable has a single 100% coverage shield but can be doubled up for noisy environments plus it is relatively flexible.
Great Design for any Home Audio System
The Aurender N20 Music Server and Streamer is a modular, minimalistic-looking component. With an 8.8" IPS LCD full-color display, users can view the album art, artist name, and song title easily. A display menu button on the right side of the front panel allows users to cycle through various display options like song information and playlist menu. Playlists can be selected and played using the four buttons on the front panel to pause, play, track skip, and scroll through playlists. The Aurender N20 is built with two internal trays for user-installable storage. Load up to 2 1, 2, 4, or 8TB 2.5-inch SSDs or up to 5TB 2.5-inch HDDs for an ample amount of external storage.
On the back panel of the Aurender N20 is a host of digital outputs: AES/EBU XLR output, TOSLINK optical output, coaxial RCA output, and Coaxial BNC word clock input. You'll also find user-installable storage trays, an AC power socket with an AC power switch, a dedicated USB 2.0 output, two USB 3.0 data ports, an earth/ground terminal, and a double isolated gigabit ethernet port. The SPDIF digital output is controlled by a precise OCXO clock for long-term jitter reduction, achieving the perfect combination of low noise and low jitter. A word clock or master clock input is also provided for those who wish to connect an external clock. The Aurender N10 has a nice form factor that complements your existing audio system setup and as an added bonus users can select between a black and silver chassis finish for an even more customized look.
High-Performance Digital Transport
As a dedicated digital audio transport, having a linear power supply is essential for enjoying your favorite music with the highest fidelity. The Aurender N20 features a unique hybrid power supply (Intel N4200 Quad Core), on which the flagship N30SA is based, delivering a pure DC current to power the digital audio output board, while a separate linear power supply chain feeds clean power to the non-audio adjacent components of the N20. This brand-new power supply features 2 transformers, 4 cores, large audio-grade components, and isolated grounding, making it extremely sophisticated and dead quiet! The grounding for the SPDIF digital outputs is isolated by a separate transformer for an even lower noise floor on AES/EBU, Coax, RCA & BNC, and Toslink outputs compared to the Aurender N10.
Like the Aurender A30, ACS10, and ACS100, the supercapacitor-based uninterruptible power supply prevents disc and operating system corruption in the event of an abrupt power outage by safely shutting down the unit. This all-new circuit board is populated with a high-precision OCXO clock and oscillator exhibiting 4 to 10 times more stability than the Aurender N10 model. The result? Enhanced musicality, timing, pace, and rhythm.
Next-generation USB Audio Class 2.0 is implemented in the Aurender N20, designed with an emphasis on lowering jitter and lowest possible latency. The N20 is capable of upsampling any lower-resolution content up to 176.4/192kHz for better performance with some DACs. High-resolution file support for all major codecs and precision DSD-to-PCM conversion by FPGA is available for SPDIF outputs. SPDIF supports PCM formats up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD64. In USB, PCM is supported up to sample rate 32-bit/384kHz as well as DSD26 (DoP) and DSD512 (native). When using the USB port on the N20, you'll always get bit-perfect playback with no digital signal processing. The Aurender N20 is a Roon Ready device with the ability to function as a Roon endpoint, enhancing its versatility in modern digital audio systems. The N20 also supports Tidal, Spotify, and Qobuz Connect.
