As the output increases, noise levels typically rise. However, the KANN MAX, with its ultra-high output, eliminates noise, embodying Astell&Kern's commitment to delivering uncompromised original sound. A&K achieved this through meticulous circuit design. The KANN MAX utilizes an analog volume controller to maintain a rich dynamic range without any loss. By separately configuring the power supply IC for each audio block—DAC, Volume, and AMP—the KANN MAX ensures stable power delivery to each audio IC. This design eliminates interference ripple noise from the DC-DC power supply, which occurs when power is supplied, and minimizes audio noise amplified by the OP AMP. The KANN MAX's ultra-high output and low noise were realized through innovative circuit design, including dividing a compact PCB, the same size as the KANN ALPHA, into 12 layers and carefully reviewing the physical size of components in the AMP circuit.

While the existing KANN series image was a heavy and strong image like an off-road car, with KANN MAX, A&K wanted to continue the identity of the Astell&Kern KANN lineup while boasting a thinner size and high-power performance like a high-performance sports car.
