Custom IEMs in 3 Steps

So you have decided to take the big leap into Custom IEMs?

We know this journey can be long and complicated, but fear not, we are here to help you.

The biggest part of getting your own CIEM is getting a mold of your ear. This might seem like a difficult procedure but it really is not.

1. Get an Ear Impression

Find an audiologist in your area (Googling audiologist in your city will provide a list).

Make sure you find an audiologist familiar with how to make “full shell impression including the crus of helix, tragus and anti-tragus” (that is audiologist speak - they will understand).

Take along this Custom IEM Earmold Tip Sheet for your audiologist to ensure you get the correct earmold.

Molds should cost from $50 to $150 depending on where you live.

2. Choose Your Custom IEM

Custom IEMs can be personalized to your liking with faceplate and shell color and personalized artwork. Each of the JH Audio CIEMs has distinct sound qualities so we suggest comparing the IEMs prior to choosing your IEMs and sending us your molds.

3. Await a Music Experience Like No Other

It normally takes 4-6 weeks for you to receive your CIEMs after you have placed your order, but trust us it's worth it.
