The Black Dragon LOD Cable is for connecting portable audio DACs or amps, such as the Cypher Labs AlgoRhythm Solo -dB and Duet. It is a more flexible version of the Black Dragon for compact spaces.

Black Dragon Sound Signature

The Black Dragon is warm and smooth with a musical presentation. Copper strands enhance the body, shape, and immediacy of the music. The detail and expansiveness of the Black Dragon make it a flexible fit where a broad range of musical genres are played. It can also improve bass frequencies on bass-light headphones.

The smooth, musical quality makes it a perfect fit for headphones that tend to sound a bit edgy or bright. Despite its warmth, the Black Dragon does not have a laid back, lush sound. It is much closer to neutral, making it a very natural sounding cable.

Cable Design

The Black Dragon LOD cable uses 4 x 26AWG Teflon insulated stranded conductors using pure single crystallized UP-OCC pure copper with 7N purity 99.99998%. It is extremely smooth sounding with great low end and wonderful voicing. The Black Dragon LOD cable is based on the successful Black Dragon V2 Headphone cable but with a more flexible nature and smaller size conductors for use as a low voltage signal cable. It performs bends more easily than our past LOD cable designs but with maximum conductor sizing to provide the best-shielded signal transfer. This cable will be used in double duty as both an analog signal transfer as well as a digital transfer for Moon Audio's Apple Certified Lightning cables that are launching very soon.

The copper stranding is mixed with Kevlar stranding to reinforce the conductor making it stronger overall and less prone to failure due to the harsh constant flexing a LOD audio cable receives. The conductors are then surrounded by cotton filler and then a layer of Al-Mylar. Followed by a 100% coverage braided shield. This LOD cable is protected by a PVC jacket for further protection.
