The Black Dragon Premium Cable features 4 x 21.5AWG Teflon-insulated stranded conductors using pure single crystallized UP-OCC pure copper with 7N purity 99.99998%. Most stock headphone cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors that work as a bottleneck for sound. Poor geometries, no shielding, rubber jackets, and a whole host of other issues in OEM cables can limit the performance of the headphone driver in terms of clarity and definition.
Dragon Cables are handcrafted from quality materials in Moon Audio's headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.
The Premium Difference
Premium Dragon Cables offer the same quality construction as the standard line, featuring UP-OCC 99.99998% pure conductors and matching cable designs with a few upgrades. Cardas Silver Solder is replaced with Mundorf MSolder SUPREME Silver-Gold mix at every connection point, and premium Furutech Rhodium connectors are included to enhance the look, feel and listening pleasure of all your hifi music sessions. When you are trying to squeeze out every last percentage point of performance, the Premium version makes sense. The Furutech Top Line connectors are quite simply the best made, and every point of signal saturation makes a difference.

Black Dragon Sound Signature
The Black Dragon is warm and smooth with a musical presentation. Copper strands enhance the body, shape, and immediacy of the music. The detail and expansiveness of the Black Dragon make it a flexible fit where a broad range of musical genres are played. It can also improve bass frequencies on bass-light headphones.
The smooth, musical quality makes it a perfect fit for headphones that tend to sound a bit edgy or bright. Despite its warmth, the Black Dragon does not have a laid back, lush sound. It is much closer to neutral, making it a very natural sounding cable.

Black Dragon and Rosson Audio Design
The Black Dragon is designed to add warmth and richness to the bottom end without losing any clarity in the sound signature. The Black Dragon will smooth out the top end and provide a fuller presentation with more weight to the sound. Your one-of-a-kind headphones deserve nothing but the best.
RAD Headphone Connector
This cable features a 3.5mm connector. While the same connector is used on other headphones the wiring schematics are different, meaning the cables are not interchangeable. This cable is designed solely for use with Rosson Audio Design headphones.
Cable Design
This cable is warmer in nature than our Silver Dragon Premium Stellia V3 headphone cable. It is extremely smooth sounding with great low end and wonderful voicing. It is not a laid back lush or dark sounding cable. It smooths out the top end making it a little less analytical and a little more natural sounding. It also adds bottom end weight to the lower frequencies and provides a fuller sound and wider soundstage.
Each conductor is made up of a special varying size stranding geometry. The copper stranding is mixed with Kevlar stranding to reinforce the conductor. Making it stronger overall and less prone to failure due to the harsh constant flexing a headphone cable receives. The conductors are then surrounded by cotton and then a layer of Teflon tape. This V2 version is now also shielded and placed in a polyethylene jacket for further protection.
The wire is soldered to the connector with high-quality silver solder. The default 1/4" Plug is the new Furutech CF-763. Furutech’s beautifully finished, beautiful sounding CF-763 connectors are the result of meticulous engineering and careful audition of various suitable materials. The CF-763 features a nonmagnetic rhodium-plated α (Alpha) phosphor bronze conductor and fluoropolymer insulation for minimal impedance and a nonmagnetic stainless and carbon fiber finished housing for superior damping.
For XLR connections there are two choices. The FP-601M（R) XLR uses a beryllium copper and phosphor bronze α (Alpha) conductor; the body is a copper alloy with PVDF fluoropolymer insulation. The second choice is the top-of-the-line CF-601M(R) XLR, which utilizes an α (Alpha) beryllium copper and phosphor bronze rhodium-plated conductor with carbon fiber and nonmagnetic stainless steel housing. The body is PVDF fluoropolymer insulation with a specially designed cable strain relief.
