Signature Focal Design with an Edge
Like all Focal headphones, the Focal Bathys is made in France with the highest attention to detail. The high-quality construction shows off a beautiful black and silver design and a comfortable fit. The construction of the aluminum frame provides reliability and resistance on the move while the lightweight magnesium yokes, refined leather microfiber headband, and soft memory foam ear pads contribute to the overall comfort.The grilles feature a series of various sized circles, and Focal’s flame symbol features at the center of the ear cup. A really cool great feature of the Bathys is a white backlight system that you can turn on and off via the Focal-Naim app to illuminate the flame logo. The left ear cup features a touch control for selecting your ANC mode. On the right ear cup, you will find your volume up and down buttons, a multifunction button, headphone on and off buttons plus a USB DAC mode switch, a voice assistant button, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Included with the Bathys headphones is a rigid carrying case to house and protect your headphones and cables while on the move.
Speaker Drivers Manufactured in France
The Focal Bathys uses a 40mm dynamic driver with a patented aluminum/magnesium ‘M’-shaped dome. The drivers have been slightly revamped to adapt to the constraints of a portable set of headphones – they are now lighter with a smaller volume. The result is a clear, dynamic and precise hi-fi sound, while retaining a sound signature that is optimized for use on the move: a present, ever-controlled bass. The Bathys has a neutral-warm signature that's reminiscent of the Focal Clear Mg and the Focal Celestee; it's got heft and some liveliness to it. The bass is deep and satisfying, the mids are clear and detailed, and the treble sweet and smooth. The sound signature is going to suit a variety of genres, from rock 'n' roll and blues to pop and jazz. Want to watch movies while you’re traveling? Featuring Bluetooth 5.1 technology, 30-hour battery life when using Bluetooth®, and an active noise canceling mode, the Focal Bathys makes the perfect travel companion. Compatible with SBC, AAC, Apt-X™ and Apt-X™ Adaptive codecs, the headphone provides a broad choice of connectivity modes. For anyone looking for the best possible high-fidelity sound, the USB-DAC mode delivers a resolution of up to 24 bits / 192kHz for an uncompromising listening experience, thanks to the built-in DAC and the integrated amplifier in the headphones! If you receive a phone call while you are listening to music, the playback will pause and you will hear a ringtone through the headphones. The headphones are fitted with microphones which use Clear Voice® technology. To answer, press the multifunction button. To hang up, press this same button again. To reject the call, press and hold on to the multifunction button for 2 seconds.
Two active noise cancellation modes are available: a Silent mode, optimized for trips with high background noise (planes, trains, etc.) and a Soft mode to aid concentration at home, in the office, etc. In addition, a Transparency mode enables you to stay connected to your surroundings. With a battery life of 30 hours in Bluetooth ANC mode, 35 hours in jack mode, and 42 hours in USB-DAC mode, the Bathys is built for long listening sessions. A fast-charging feature gives you 5 additional hours of battery life in 15 minutes of charging. A full charge only takes 1 hour and 30 minutes.

One App to Control It All
The dedicated Focal & Naim app enables access to a variety of settings and an EQ that will adapt the sound to your musical preferences. The Bathys also incorporates Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants to stay connected at all times. It is also compatible with Google Fast Pair for a faster, more intuitive connection.

Will the Bathys block all outside noise?
Noise canceling headphones are designed to block ambient noise so that the listener can enjoy their music without outside distractions. While the headphones will mute a high degree of outside sound, you may hear some sounds here and there. How do I get the best sound quality from my Bluetooth® headphones?
Best quality is achieved by playing lossless files on your playback device. Where possible combine it with the less compressed Bluetooth® codec: aptX™ adaptive for Android devices and AAC for iOS devices. Thanks to the DAC mode, connected with the USB-C on your device, you can enjoy music without compression and with a resolution up-to 24 bits 192 kHz.
Can I connect multiple devices at the same time?
The Bathys is fitted with multipoint Bluetooth technology that allows it to be connected to two devices at the same time. The Bathys can therefore switch easily between two audio sources without using the normal process of Bluetooth reconnection. The headphones can also automatically answer a call on your phone when you are listening to audio content on another source (a computer or tablet for example). The headphones can save up to 8 devices. If more than 8 devices are connected, the device that was paired first will be removed and you will need to pair it again. To do this, press and hold the multifunction button for 4 seconds.
